Good morning. Happy Sunday.
Peace. Love. Practice tolerance for one another.
We are all One.
Mother Earth cries as we kill each other, as we destroy all of her children, as we rape her and take from her over and over again.
What are these "resources" that are more important than life?
We humans are energy gluttons, feeding until there is no more. Killing for whatever we can get our hands on. Feed the energy machine. Feed the electronics that make the world go round. Do they? Do they really?
For what would we do without our video games, teaching our children that violence is acceptable? What would we do without our "entertainment"-- the horror and violent films and novels that we can never get enough of? The sex, the hate, the killing, the consumerism, the us against them?
Who are we without our labels?
The world is our mirror. Do we like what we see? It is a reflection of who we are. Primal, unevolved, lustful, savage, hateful, killing, competitive beasts.
We only get more of what we focus on. More hate. More war. More violence. More judgment. More killing. More fear. More separation.
But enough already. The Spirits are tired of the same old same old.
Today.
Today I will focus on love. Today I will practice forgiveness. Today I will tolerate those who are different from me. Today I will cry for ALL children lost in war and senseless killing. Today I will feel sadness for the lost souls who did not know better--who perpetuated the violence in their ignorance of love.
Today I will embrace my brother, my sister, that person who looks different, who believes different, who is me in disguise.
Today I will consume less. I will turn off the TV-- mindnumbing, brainwashing machine of destruction that teaches it is okay to kill, to fear, to hate.
Today I will practice silence in the arms of my Mother Nature and let her love wash over me, cleansing the American Culture from my pores.
Today I will reach for Father Sky and listen as he guides me to my future. I will release the past, cut the cords to those who no longer live with my soul and walk forward into healing.
Today I will observe the world around me with my mouth shut and my mind open. There will be no judgment, there will only be what is.
Today I will live in love and joy, peace and harmony with All That Is.
For today is a choice. This is what I choose. Now.
Love to all.

Amazing moments in the Now (6.1.14)
Good evening. Happy Sunday.
First, I want to apologize for the lateness of my sermon today. We have been moving nonstop and the internet hookup is a little complicated right now.
We have had a couple of baby goats...Fairy finally had her kids, and we inherited another llama girl that's a neighborhood stray.
In any case, we have met our neighbors here near the new land and met the new tenant of the farm we moved out of. It has been interesting and rewarding, and I realize as doors close in one area, they open in another. I really have enjoyed meeting new people and having conversations about things that matter...raising animals, growing food, living on the land....
This week I am thankful for new opportunities and new relationships, new life and new experiences. You can't take life for granted, not even for one moment. If you are living in a mindful state and experiencing the Now, so many wonderful and amazing things happen. How do we miss all of the daily miracles? By being too busy and not paying attention.
This week has been incredible. It has been one of the hardest weeks I have endured, moving livestock, moving barns and fences until well into the night, but when we arrive on our quiet, peaceful land and I look up and see the canopy of stars and the Milky Way, shining brightly above me, I am thrilled to be here, and thrilled to be alive in this single moment.
I know I would not change my adventurous self for one second. I learn from everyone and everything. I meet so many new people, just passing through my life, through my town, telling their stories, and I feel a kindred sort of love for all of them. They are me. I am them.
Life is beautiful, even in the hardest of times. If we can stop and live each moment, we can realize the gifts we are given daily, and be grateful for the abundance that flows to us all of the time.
This week, I feel compelled to just simply be, observing the world around me, and relishing each single moment as the Universe hands me gifts...baby goats, an eagle soaring overhead, the screech of a hawk, a horned toad running under the salt brush, the sand between my toes, and the clean and beautiful air of this amazing place. Mother Earth gives us life and sustains us as we wander on our journeys into the great unknown.
Isn't life beautiful?
Love to all.

New Year, new beginning (1.5.14)
Good morning. Happy Sunday! And Happy New Year!
A new year...think of the possibilities....
Each day is a new opportunity to begin again. So, if yesterday didn't go the way I wanted it to...I have the option, the choice to start anew, each morning, or whenever I become aware that I have the choice. This year I will make better choices. I will try to live more consciously and be aware that I do have power over my own life.
As the new year solidifies into reality, let's think about how we'd like this year to go. Each day we make choices that will determine the outcome of our future days. If we live consciously and avoid reacting, we can make better choices than we might if we live unconsciously, reacting to events and people.
By focusing on NOW, we have less to worry about and can live in each moment, making it the best it can be.
This week let's meditate on peace and love and what we'd like our future year to look like. Let's try to remember that the reality we create is a reflection of us, and our inner self.
If we work on our self, we become more enlightened and our reality reflects the spiritual growth back to us in our every day living.
I'd like my world to be a nicer place, a safer place, a more creative and loving place, so that is what I will try to emulate every day. It may be a high aspiration, but I have to try. And I can begin again, any time I want or need to.
Love to all.

Today is Now (12.22.13)
Good morning. Happy Sunday!
Today, I'd like to focus on the NOW.
What is it? Simple. It is past, present and future all rolled into this single, glorious moment we are in. There is nothing else.
You can think about the past, but your memories are occurring now. You can visualize the future, but your ideas are happening now. Now is absolutely all we have.
This moment is right now. This moment I am alive. I breathe, my heart beats...I am life now.
In this moment what am I feeling? I can choose to alter my mood to one of peace and joy, if it is not there already. This moment creates the next. How would I like to go into the next moment? With feelings of love?
I choose to practice acts of kindness and love in this moment, knowing those acts will reflect back into my next moments.
This is how we create the life we want to live---by creating a perfect NOW moment.
Now, this morning, the sun shines and I am in awe of its life giving force, enjoying the warmth and light that comes to me now. There is a sprinkling of new snow on the ground and I am blessed with the moisture that will melt into the earth.
Right now, I can acknowledge all of the things I am grateful for.
Right now, I can practice kindness and patience with the people I am with.
Right now, I can remember that my Ego is an illusion, and I can choose to listen to my Higher Self.
Right now, I can be love.
Right now, I can feel my connection to All That Is, the Wholeness, the Oneness.
Right now, I can simply be, without any judgement of self, of others, or situations I find myself in.
Right now, I am.
Let us all practice being present in our NOW moments. Let us simply be. In the NOW.
Love to all.

Ego (11.10.13)
Good morning. Happy Sunday!
This past week I have been stuck in the clutches of Ego, and let me tell you, that can be an unhappy and difficult place to live.
Ego catches us unaware and tricks us into feeding its needs instead of being aware of the higher good and remembering we are all one. It is Ego's job to promote selfishness, and to turn off any connection to higher self and the whole that we are naturally a part of.
As I went through my week, I was not always aware that I was living from an Ego perspective, but I did notice that something was not right--my mood was off and I was quick to anger. I had little patience with anyone around me and was more concerned with what I was doing or not getting done, as the case might be.
So, how does this happen? As we travel our spiritual path, in a place of awareness, sometimes we sidestep the spiritual reality, without even being aware of it, and find ourselves instead in another place, one we might recognize, but one that feels different. It is a heavier vibration, and it feels like maybe we slipped into a parallel universe. It is recognizable, but we feel out of place and want to be back in the lighter vibration, happier and more carefree. Eckhart Tolle would call this the "pain body." The pain body feeds on negativity and unhappiness, coloring the world around us with bleakness and eliminaties all hope.
In my own experience, I think daily stresses build, leading me to react instead of stopping to view the issues from a higher perspective. I become trapped inside my human self (sometimes the pain body) and forget that I am a spiritual being, and much more than the human body I inhabit. Ego loves this. Ego would like to keep us unaware that there is a spiritual side to not only ourselves, but to the entire Universe.
Once one becomes enmeshed in Ego thinking, it seems very hard to disengage and get back to a place of love and living in the now. Meditation can help with this. It can be as simple as going for a walk in a natural setting or simply sitting alone in a quiet place for a while, but you have to disengage from the Ego and regain a higher perspective on reality. You have to be able to release the material world around you and allow yourself to expand into all that is...the Universe and the energy of love.
The Universe will fill you with a new energy of peace and joy, if you let it. Step away from your troubles, for they are the concerns of Ego, and notice the beauty of the planet that you live on. As you bask in the simple peace and love that is the natural state of your spiritual self, you will find the ties of Ego are letting go. When you recognize Ego and how it has taken hold of you and your thinking, it starts to diminish and release its grip on you.
It is important that we allow ourselves time every single day to reconnect with our higher selves, or nature, spirit and the Universe. It is through this connection that we maintain a relationship with all that is, instead of falling into the trap of Ego and the material world.
This is not to say that we can't retrain our Ego to become more loving and joy filled, striving for peace and the greater good--we can, and that is very important on the spiritual journey, but for this day and this week, let us simply recognize Ego for what it is and notice how it plays out our in our own lives.
As we recognize Ego, we start to release it, and it in turn releases us to be who we really are--a spiritual being of light, filled with love and joy. We are all One, connected by the love and energy of the Universal Consciousness.
When you find yourself feeling out of sorts, take some time to reconnect with your spiritual self, through some form of meditation. Feel the love of the Whole surround you and fill you with peace and joy. And then, go back and view your life from this new perspective, one that is not clouded through the eyes of Ego, and you will find yourself functioning in a higher and lighter vibration, and a much happier place.
Love to all.
