Pondering reality (12. 28.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday!

What is the nature of reality? What is real?

Do we live in a holographic universe? Is it only a dream? Do we in fact create reality as we go?

As an observer, in the act of observing and expectation, are we in fact influencing and creating the world around us?

Does the world around us actually reflect portions of ourselves? Do we live in a mirror where our thoughts and attitudes manifest in our reality?

Interesting thoughts. I have been reading a lot of articles this past week on the nature of reality. I'm not sure what I believe at this point, but I do think we have some capability and therefore culpability in the creation of our own personal reality. It seems plausible that the Universe is indeed reflecting back at us everything we put forth. A lot of spiritual texts suggest this is indeed what is happening.

As I wrestle with thoughts of near term human extinction, I realize the only possible way out of this mess is to change reality. So how do we do that?

Can we simply jump into a parallel universe and change places with another self? And then, where does that other self go? Do they come back to this place we want so desperately to leave as we go to theirs? That hardly seems fair. Is there consciousness in other selves? Are there in fact other selves in these parallel worlds? Or, does our self split into infinite personas to live out lives we may have had if indeed we made different choices? Or, does none of it exist until we focus our intent upon it?

Interesting ideas to think about. I'd be inclined to think that we only create the world we are focused on. That includes possible alternative realities. I think there is only one true self, and if it existed on multiple planes, then it would not be the one true self on any of them. And if it was split into many, I think we would be too fractured inside to function with any real purpose and just wander in endless confusion as our multiple pieces tried to reconnect.

Of course the science is still out on most of these theories, but if indeed we create all possible realities only as we focus on them, we have to be careful what we give our attention to.

In the Unified Field of Consciousness Theory, we are all connected on another plane, the God plane or the field of pure potential or whatever you might call it. Carl Jung thought we shared archetypes across the human species, based upon this idea of a shared human consciousness. This follows along the idea that we are all One, and every single thing we do, thoughts included, affects the Whole. If this is indeed possible, are we not destroying the planet and the human race (and other species) by culturally focusing on negative things? What exactly do the violent images we continue to create in our stories (movies, writings, games) do to the Unified Field of Consciousness?

As we hold images and ideas in our minds individually, they also reflect upon the Field of Pure Potential, creating the world as we know it. And it is in a sad state indeed.

As I ponder all of these fascinating subjects, I am searching for a way out of the current human dilemma, looking for another path to follow, another way to think and focus my intentions upon the world I wish to see and experience.

Perhaps it is a shift in consciousness which would allow me to subtly step into another dimension where hate, war and climate catastrophe are not happening.

Perhaps it is continuing along this trajectory, hoping more people awaken to their true selves and release the negativity that pervades the people of our planet. This of course would involve letting go of ego and all of the entertainment and ideas that contributes to the separation of self from the Whole. Many spiritual masters are on this path to help humanity awaken and realize the power each person holds within to make a vast difference in how it all turns out. If indeed enough of us (100 monkey theory) can awaken and begin to awaken those around us, it will affect change upon the Field Of Consciousness thus that things have to change in the reality we experience.

No matter what happens, we have to be aware enough to make the decision to be the change. And we can't do that if we are engrossed in the trivial pursuits of Western Culture which by default are designed to keep us stuck in the current paradigm and stuck on the current path of human and planetary destruction.

If we want to save ourselves and the beautiful planet we live on, including all of the animal and planet species we share our home with, we have to decide to do so. It has to be a conscious decision and our daily choices must reflect that paradigm shift.

It is not easy to let go of that which no longer serves us, whether that be people, places, things or situations. But we must. We have to let all things go that no longer serve the shared vision of a peaceful, green Utopia.

Perhaps the real problem is that people don't want this Utopian world. That is hard to believe, but in fact may be a result of ego control. People may be so lost in ego and the contaminants of the world that they simply can no longer think, let alone awaken to their true selves and the endless possibilities this awakening brings.

Well, it is what it is. I, however, choose to walk a different path, and hope that there are those who would walk with me towards a better reality. If we can get enough thought focused on the beautiful reality we wish to see and participate in, it will manifest as a result of our intended focus.

Will you join me? It may be our only hope.

Love to all.

Happy Winter Solstice (12.21.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday! Happy Winter Solstice!

The great thing about today is the days will start getting longer, and that is something to celebrate! Not with stuff. Turning this day into a psuedo Christmas excuse to buy and give lots of gifts is a mistake. Instead, celebrate life and Mother Earth and the abundance that comes to us every single day in the way of food, shelter and water. A lot of people don't even have that.

Let's think about what is really important as we leave the dark days behind us. Too bad in reality, the dark days are still to come as far as the collapse of civilization and the coming extinction of thousands more species. Is our stuff that important? Do we need one more gift? What about those holiday cards? Are they necessary? How many trees do we lose to cards and gift wrapping?

And yet we have to find some joy in our lives in spite of the anticipatory grief of the dark days to come. As many people are saying now, live in the present. Enjoy the now. Live with passion. Give up that which does not serve the higher self. Make memories with people you love. Isn't that what life should be about anyway?

When we choose to live in a simpler way, without all of the new gadgets and pretty, shiny stuff, we find ourselves in the company of our soul, and that is an amazing experience. As we meditate on our place in the web of life, we feel the connection to All That Is, and we begin to understand the huge error mankind has made in its need for economic growth. We also begin to realize that none of it matters anyway.

In our life journey, we can choose to open ourselves up to a spiritual path, or not. It is a choice. We can choose to live in love and kindness, not only for other people, but also for ourselves and all of life on Earth, and indeed for the Earth itself.

Our lives our of our own making. Certainly it seems better to choose to do the best one can, to try in every aspect to awaken those around us and live in a sustainable way in reverence of our Mother Earth. But this too is a choice.

Either way, regardless of the endless choices and many paths, we all get there one day. We all die.

So, celebrate today on this Winter Solstice. Spring is coming! It is. Live each day as if it is the last and make someone happy. Share the love.

Let us turn this darkness into light as we open ourselves to new realities. And who knows, if enough people get on the same wavelength, the same frequency, the same energetic vibration--as a Unified Consciousness, we may be able to change the outcome of the sad story of the human race.

Happy Day!

Love to all.

If all else fails, try again (12.14.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday.

My mind is numb with the strange happenings of the world. The people around me...the country I live in...

Everyone is stuck in their story. I am too.

We live in an ego driven world and our culture is extremely predatory. It would seem that most people are content in their consumerist and materialistic lives, but even those who step outside of that mindset do so only for the briefest of moments before they fall back into the same old ways of dealing with each other and the world. Predatory.

This week we have been exposed to the "torture reports" or the details of the CIA interrogation techniques to try to get information out of supposed terrorist suspects. It doesn't work, but the torture continues. I have to ask, collectively, are we even human? Is it human nature to hurt others? I suppose it is, really. It seems a lot of folks get a lot of joy or hidden satisfaction out of hurting other beings.

There comes a time when you have to rise above the tendency to disregard other life as you live your own. If we are to evolve spiritually we must rethink our behaviors and our thought patterns. We have to change the paradigm.

On a personal level, this is a difficult task for me as well, as am caught up in my own story as so many people are.

Some of the nation is reacting to police brutality by protesting in the streets of major cities against the grand jury decisions not to indict two police officers who killed two unarmed black men. Regardless of their alleged crimes, these two black men did not deserve to have their lives taken from them in such a manner. It draws our attention to the fact that the police officers of this country are individual people too, with issues of their own. Sometimes better judgement is lost in moments of fear, and sometimes people are just downright wrong in their actions. I am proud some people of this country are standing up to this injustice. That is the way it should be. The voices of the oppressed should be heard. Those lost lives should be acknowledged. They matter.

Our country has been on track to becoming a police state for some time now. The injustices perpetrated against the unarmed black men on the city streets are not uncommon. In fact these incidents are more common than not and becoming the norm for people of color, including Latino and Native American as well as African American. I am a white woman, and I am afraid of the police. The men and women behind the badges are unpredictable. We all have a right to be cautious.

I fail to understand the racist side of this argument. I fail to understand the "cop" side of this. It would seem to me that when the police shoot first and ask questions later, they are indeed playing into some vigilante method of justice that is supposed to be illegal in this country. Therein lies the problem. This country has not been a democracy based on freedom of the people for a long time. Slowly those freedoms are being eroded in the name of fear and progress, and people are becoming pawns in this country, and perhaps even in the world, as the people in higher positions of power move the sheeple around to fit their own needs and ends.

We are not in control anymore, if we ever were. We live under the delusion that we have some kind of say in how our country is run. We don't really. The people with the badges have the authority to gun us down in the street. This authority has been given to them by a higher level of corruption that we can't even begin to understand. What is the outcome of this evilness, this vile behavior to prey on the people of the world?

By not seeking to examine the individuals who are responsible through their very actions for torturing and killing unarmed human beings, are we not essentially telling ourselves and the rest of the world that this behavior is okay? I only include myself in this because ultimately we are all One, and your behavior is my behavior. It makes me sick inside to think of these ego driven people who seem to have no connection to their soul, what-so-ever, these people who hurt others as their chosen profession, these people who explain their actions away for whatever reason. It is a disease of a very sick ego driven and predatory world.

I want no part of this. None. So when a member of my family disowns me because I choose to stand with the oppressed people, it makes my heart ache inside. I don't understand how someone could align themselves with a pattern of thinking that allows the killing of unarmed people to be dismissed as legitimate behavior. But, it is what it is. Where do we draw the line? Where do I draw the line? How can I pretend and be civil in the face of blatant racism? How can I pretend this isn't happening?

And when another member of my family attends a family function of people who refuse to even acknowledge that people of diversity exist (including me), how can I pretend it's okay? How do I close my eyes to the blindness of society that says in most moments people can be excused for their unthinkable behaviors because they do not know better.

"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do," said Jesus.

I am not religious by any means. But most of these other people are -- these people who go to church and then come out of those doors full of righteousness; Those people who kill other people in the line of duty; Those people who treat others who are different as less than human.

If I do not stand up and say ENOUGH, am I not the same as them? Am I to sit idly by as these "good" people destroy humanity and the planet we live on? And if these people are my "family" does that mean I am required to be quiet and play along in the name of politeness? As long as we don't talk about anything meaningful, then we can go on pretending it isn't happening and that our own behaviors are not contributing to the problem. NOT.

I have been "feeling" a lot this week. The voices of the spiritual world are constantly reminding me that we live in an ego driven world of hypocrisy. I know I live there too. I am having the hardest time not judging those who are controlled and driven entirely by their ego story as I watch civilization crumble around me.
I am trying hard to remember that the world is my mirror and all of this horror exists within me and reflects outward into my reality.

I don't have much to say about how to deal with this because I am at a loss. I offend those around me by speaking out against the horrors I see. No one wants to take responsibility for their own part in this mess. As I speak out, so then I judge. But how can I not speak out? How can I not judge?

And they too are me.

My mind is numb. I can only seek to separate myself so that my vision remains clear. As I meditate and find love within for those parts of me that are in pain, that love will begin to heal.

Love. It is of a higher vibration. It is what holds the Universe together. It is the energy underlying the rest. It is Creator/God/Goddess. Love.

Let us take a deep breath of unified love and settle into a moment of peace. We must remember. We have to rise above our stories and our egos and vibrate on a higher level if we are to create lasting change.

Let us help each other to remember. Each day, all we can do is try again.

Love to all.

Spiritual tools (12.7.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday.

Ever had an experience that just felt icky? Ever been in the presence of someone and just felt like you had to get away from them? Conversely, you might feel pulled to certain places and people, or experience a feeling of peace or bliss when in certain situations. I've been experiencing more of these types of events lately.

Those feelings are part of an internal guidance system called intuition. And when those feelings arise, I listen. I didn't always listen to my gut, but over the years, I have learned to trust my higher self to guide me in particular situations. If I quiet ego long enough, I can hear the voice of spirit, which tells me which direction to go, whom to trust and what people to allow into my inner circle of loved companions. Life is better when I listen. I miss a lot of unnecessary "lessons" when I pay attention to that inner voice.

It seems as the world dissolves into a more chaotic state, my inner voice of reason, my intuition, is getting louder. I don't think this is by chance alone. I strongly believe the spirits are guiding me, keeping me safe, which I suspect they have always done. It is only very recently that the volume has been turned up and I have started to hear all sorts of interesting things. Let's say the spirit world is talking and I'm tuned in like a radio receiver. I don't always get words. Sometimes I get images, feelings and dreams. Sometimes I deliberately journey into that world and receive interesting premonitions that help me make better choices as I navigate this strange world.

I don't think this spirit connection is so unusual. It used to be the norm to our ancestral peoples. It would appear that more and more people are "waking up" and connecting to their spiritual selves and the abilities that are inherent in all of us. I believe that the Universe/Creator is helping us to adapt to a quickly changing world, and those of us who tune in and listen will be better equipped to deal with the coming changes.

It would appear that our environment is becoming more dangerous, simply because the climate is changing and people are changing. People are becoming more and more desperate as the world becomes a place they no longer recognize. The economy is still failing. In my opinion, the evidence would seem to suggest that the United States is on the verge of total collapse, which will send the rest of the world into a tailspin. As a country, we can no longer sustain the consumerism that has been brainwashed into our mainstream masses. Civilization as we know it is coming to an end. As a world we are on the verge of additional climate catastrophe. Something has to give.

Adaptation is key. We have to change to fit the changing world. That means we use all of the tools at our disposal (and no, I don't believe guns are tools). I do, however, believe that part of human evolution is spiritual evolution, which has nothing to do with religion. If religion is part of your framework, that's your thing, as long as you don't let the dogma cloud your spiritual reasoning. The spiritual path is very important as we face the challenges to come.

There is a reason why we are now awakening to these "tools" of spirit. These tools are not new, they are just underutilized and most of us are way out of practice using them. Perhaps you have noticed your own intuition becoming fine tuned, or you are hearing/feeling the spirits. Maybe you are having premonitions. Trust those things. They are gifts. Examine and evaluate them by all means, but take ego out of it and allow your higher self to make the final decisions.

Our ancestral spirits will help us and guide us as we walk this delicate path into an unknown future. We must honor and respect our guides and the help they offer. There are many spirits with us, and they are with us for a reason. Some protect us. Some offer us their wisdom and guidance. Open yourself to them. Listen. Meditate on connecting to your higher self and the messages will come to you.

How will you know when the messages come? How can we separate spirit messages from ego talk?

Spirit always guides us in the direction of love and compassion. Ego pushes us in the direction of self. Sometimes those things work together, but most often they don't. When we are competing or acting out of selfish ends, that is ego driving and our true self is once again asleep at the wheel. Ego is a tricky thing. Training yourself to be aware of it is important as you tune into the signals from the spirit world. Navigating the rough times ahead will be that much easier if we embrace our spiritual tools and learn how to use them.

Recognize your new awakening self and learn to use your abilities. Remember. It was always within you and it still is. Trust in your higher self.

Namaste.

Love to all.
