About

Originally Green Desert Eco Farm (2009 -2012), in September of 2012 we became Green Desert Sanctuary, hoping to integrate our sustainable farming practices and ideas with an Eco-Spiritual, Earth based spirituality. Founded together by Kerry Bennett and Richard Hubler, we work as partners in this eco-spiritual, farming adventure, each lending our own talents and strengths to ongoing projects.

The vision of Green Desert Sanctuary encompasses many sustainable facets. As stewards of the earth, we take responsibility for making better choices in our lives and better choices in the ways in which we obtain healthy foods for our family and community.

At the farm, we offer farm products for sale (no chemicals used) and also teach classes on all aspects of homestead sufficiency and real food production, including chicken, turkey, and rabbit raising, milk goat herd management, camelid care, gardening, and natural building. We enjoy sharing our experience and also appreciate learning opportunities from people who come to visit our farm.

Green Desert Sanctuary is a sustainable eco-farm, but also a haven for spiritual refugees and people looking for guidance and peace in their lives. We offer spiritual and hands on healing experiences as well as the ability to participate in ceremonies and services.

We offer outreach to the community by way of sharing in our farm and sharing the abundance of a bountiful harvest, as well as serving as an example of sustainable living and farming in the arid high desert of Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico.
