Pondering reality (12. 28.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday!

What is the nature of reality? What is real?

Do we live in a holographic universe? Is it only a dream? Do we in fact create reality as we go?

As an observer, in the act of observing and expectation, are we in fact influencing and creating the world around us?

Does the world around us actually reflect portions of ourselves? Do we live in a mirror where our thoughts and attitudes manifest in our reality?

Interesting thoughts. I have been reading a lot of articles this past week on the nature of reality. I'm not sure what I believe at this point, but I do think we have some capability and therefore culpability in the creation of our own personal reality. It seems plausible that the Universe is indeed reflecting back at us everything we put forth. A lot of spiritual texts suggest this is indeed what is happening.

As I wrestle with thoughts of near term human extinction, I realize the only possible way out of this mess is to change reality. So how do we do that?

Can we simply jump into a parallel universe and change places with another self? And then, where does that other self go? Do they come back to this place we want so desperately to leave as we go to theirs? That hardly seems fair. Is there consciousness in other selves? Are there in fact other selves in these parallel worlds? Or, does our self split into infinite personas to live out lives we may have had if indeed we made different choices? Or, does none of it exist until we focus our intent upon it?

Interesting ideas to think about. I'd be inclined to think that we only create the world we are focused on. That includes possible alternative realities. I think there is only one true self, and if it existed on multiple planes, then it would not be the one true self on any of them. And if it was split into many, I think we would be too fractured inside to function with any real purpose and just wander in endless confusion as our multiple pieces tried to reconnect.

Of course the science is still out on most of these theories, but if indeed we create all possible realities only as we focus on them, we have to be careful what we give our attention to.

In the Unified Field of Consciousness Theory, we are all connected on another plane, the God plane or the field of pure potential or whatever you might call it. Carl Jung thought we shared archetypes across the human species, based upon this idea of a shared human consciousness. This follows along the idea that we are all One, and every single thing we do, thoughts included, affects the Whole. If this is indeed possible, are we not destroying the planet and the human race (and other species) by culturally focusing on negative things? What exactly do the violent images we continue to create in our stories (movies, writings, games) do to the Unified Field of Consciousness?

As we hold images and ideas in our minds individually, they also reflect upon the Field of Pure Potential, creating the world as we know it. And it is in a sad state indeed.

As I ponder all of these fascinating subjects, I am searching for a way out of the current human dilemma, looking for another path to follow, another way to think and focus my intentions upon the world I wish to see and experience.

Perhaps it is a shift in consciousness which would allow me to subtly step into another dimension where hate, war and climate catastrophe are not happening.

Perhaps it is continuing along this trajectory, hoping more people awaken to their true selves and release the negativity that pervades the people of our planet. This of course would involve letting go of ego and all of the entertainment and ideas that contributes to the separation of self from the Whole. Many spiritual masters are on this path to help humanity awaken and realize the power each person holds within to make a vast difference in how it all turns out. If indeed enough of us (100 monkey theory) can awaken and begin to awaken those around us, it will affect change upon the Field Of Consciousness thus that things have to change in the reality we experience.

No matter what happens, we have to be aware enough to make the decision to be the change. And we can't do that if we are engrossed in the trivial pursuits of Western Culture which by default are designed to keep us stuck in the current paradigm and stuck on the current path of human and planetary destruction.

If we want to save ourselves and the beautiful planet we live on, including all of the animal and planet species we share our home with, we have to decide to do so. It has to be a conscious decision and our daily choices must reflect that paradigm shift.

It is not easy to let go of that which no longer serves us, whether that be people, places, things or situations. But we must. We have to let all things go that no longer serve the shared vision of a peaceful, green Utopia.

Perhaps the real problem is that people don't want this Utopian world. That is hard to believe, but in fact may be a result of ego control. People may be so lost in ego and the contaminants of the world that they simply can no longer think, let alone awaken to their true selves and the endless possibilities this awakening brings.

Well, it is what it is. I, however, choose to walk a different path, and hope that there are those who would walk with me towards a better reality. If we can get enough thought focused on the beautiful reality we wish to see and participate in, it will manifest as a result of our intended focus.

Will you join me? It may be our only hope.

Love to all.
