Another moment of gratitude (10.12.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday.

Today I would like to focus on gratitude, which we should do often throughout our lives and throughout our days.

Let us give thanks for shelter and food, no matter where we are. When we have a warm place to sleep and enough food to fill our bellies, it is a good day.

Let us find appreciation for clean water to drink, because it is so important that we not take for granted our access to and our ability to have clean drinking water.

Let us find thanks in our very souls for the good people that come into our lives and bless us with their presence for how ever long they stay. Human interactions and relationships are remarkable things, always changing, sometimes unpredictable, but with so much potential to teach us about each other and about ourselves. Everyone is a mirror of who we are, reflecting our good and our bad back at us.

Be grateful for this Blessed planet we call home, our Sacred and Divine Mother Earth, who gives us abundance in the form of life and sustenance every single day. She keeps us grounded and reminds us of our connection to all things natural and the Web of Life, of which we are an intricate part.

Be thankful for the air we breath and grateful if it is clean. Take a few deep breaths of this precious air and remember that this too is threatened by our very way of life. This air carries oxygen into our very core and feeds our cells so that we may continue to enjoy our lives. Perhaps take a moment to think about how we might reduce our carbon foot prints and bring more clean air to our Earth and to the only home we will ever know.

Enjoy and appreciate the creatures and plants around you, be they tame or wild, for they share in this thing we call life on this planet Earth we call home. They are our allies, our friends and our brothers and sisters. Be thankful they are there to share your time and space.

Be ever grateful that you have this opportunity to live and express yourself in this time, that you as a spirit have chosen to inhabit this place and this human body. It is a miracle that we simply live. Enjoy yourself and give and receive love wherever you can. Share of your heart and open your soul so that you might connect with other spirits as they too experience themselves in human form.

I am thankful to be here. I am grateful for friends and family, past and present. I am very appreciative of my home and the wonderful food that we take from our Mother Nature so that we might continue to live and experience this life in this time and space. I am grateful to people who have helped and supported me over the years and I appreciate every single person on this planet simply for the spirit they are inside their human body. I am so lucky to be alive now. I will enjoy every moment of it, good or bad and cherish the time I have to be here in the company of Nature, the animals, the plants, the rocks, the mountains, the rivers and the big sky, and the wonderful people I continue to meet every single day.

Thank you.

Love to all.
