Happy Mother's Day! (5.11.14)

Good Morning. Happy Sunday!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mothers out there, including our Mother Earth.

Mothers give us life and sustain us as we reach out to the world and become who we are meant to be. Our great Mother Earth holds us in her nurturing arms and supports us through everything we endure, providing food, shelter and other life forms for us to interact with. Pretty awesome and amazing.

If we, as humanity, could practice the same unconditional love and unwavering support to our own children, whether they are ours by birth or by proximity, it might be possible to see some of the pain of the world reduced. Everyone needs a mother. Everyone, at some point, needs to be taken care of, from the helpless infant state to periods of illness and general malaise, it helps if we have a mother figure in our lives to lend a loving hand when we need it.

Unfortunately, not everyone has a biological mother or mother figure in their lives. In some cases, mothers aren't able to give their time and love in ways that nurture others. It is what it is. There are plenty of nurturing women out there, and even some men, who are willing and able to give of themselves to others in a supportive and loving way-- unconditional love that does not depend on anything else, just the state of being.

Today, and this week, let us thank and spend time with the women who love us and nurture us, our mothers, and let's also acknowledge the nontraditional mother figures who have guided us in our lives, be they men (fathers, brothers, uncles and friends) or others (teachers, aunts, sisters, neighbors, friends) who have supported us in our times of need.

A mother can take any form, including the form of a mountain or a forest, and the greatest form of all, our Planet and our Universe.

Feel the love that surrounds you now, enveloping you in unconditional bliss and joy that is yours to experience. The Universe supports you in all things. This is one Mother that won't, and that can't ever let you down. When we look at at our experiences, we know that underneath everything that happens, there is a loving presence that never wavers. This is our Mother, our Source, our God.

Find within yourself that love, that ability to be kind and nurture other living beings and share it. Honor your Mothers and honor the Mother within.

Have a loving day.

Love to all.
