Healing (9.28.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday.

This morning, I want to talk about healing and the many forms it takes.  As I begin a new journey as a healer, available to anyone locally or through distance healing, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on alternative healing traditions.

Having been trained in many traditions of energy healing, I am a firm believer in the power of the body and mind to heal itself with a little help from the Universal Energy Field. This energy is available to everyone, but sometimes it takes a trained outsider to tap into this powerful healing energy and guide it directly to the person who needs it. These healers are gifted energy handlers who become conduits for this energy to travel through them from outside and into the patient or client who has asked for the healing.

Energy healers are capable healers who can help alleviate pain, stress and dis-ease so that (in conjunction with standard medical care) a person is able to begin healing the body, mind and spirit, to bring themselves back to wholeness, which is the natural state of balance for the human state of being.

Herbal remedies may be used by traditional healers who also incorporate energy healing, ritual and massage into their practices. A good place to begin is often with diet. What are you eating that might be creating illness or dis-ease in your systems? A good healer will help you to determine the best place to begin on your path to wellness, peace and joy.

Some healing might take the form of spiritual healing, which can bring a person back into contact with their true self, or spirit, which will guide them back to a healthful state of mind and body.

Other forms of energy and traditional medicine can be utilized in natural healing methodology, including crystal therapies, acupuncture, Reiki, flower medicine, aromatherapy, hypnotherapy, metaphysical healing, EFT, labyrinth healing ceremony...to name a few, which utilize the connection to spirit and mind to bring about a state of healing and peace within the body.

Not all healing results in a total cure of dis-ease, but it may. Instead, these healing practices allow a person access to their inner self, the true healer, so that their spirit can decide and guide them on the best course of action for them individually. The healing comes when a person reconnects with Source and their spiritual self.

The Spirit is the healer within. Always we must go within in order to heal ourselves, not only from bodily ailments, but also from "dis-eases" which affect the mind. Sometimes it is this connection to Spirit, when gained, that allows a person to experience total healing both of mind and body, and a spontaneous healing from a life-threatening illness. Anything at all is possible in the realm of Universal Energy. It is the Field of Potential where we can and are able to create change and a new reality for ourselves, which disallows sickness into our new perception of life.

Do not be afraid to seek out alternative healing treatments. Some people swear by them. You can utilize many of these technique in addition to standard medical care, but do not be afraid to step outside Big Pharma and the mainstream medical complex to find the healing that works best for you. In many cases, adding some alternative healing therapies to your standard medical care can benefit you in many ways, without the negative side effects of adding more prescriptions.

Good health to everyone!

Love to all.

Community (9.21.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday. Happy Solstice everyone!

What is community and how do you build it?

Community is more than the place you live or the people you see as you drive about and run errands. Community is almost like extended family...some people you know well and some not so well, but you treat them all with respect, kindness and extend help when needed, as they do the same for you.

I have moved around a lot, and I realize that it has only been in the past five years or so that my nuclear family and I began to really experience what community is really about. Is it because we could search for people online?

Is the internet responsible for bringing people together via social media, blogs and websites? It certainly seems easier than ever now to search for local groups in a particular region. This is how we personally find local food co-ops, local organic food producers, farmer's markets, alternative builders and most of our off grid/homesteading wants and needs. The internet. Craigslist has proven invaluable for finding and selling goods, livestock and feed. Sometimes we find ourselves developing neighborhood relationships based around those original exchanges.

Still, I don't think the web is the end all to creating community. Surely we find things in common with members of our Facebook groups, but somehow those online encounters seem less than ideal and leave us wanting more. To me, it seems that it isn't until you actually can meet a person face to face and have a conversation while looking into their eyes that a real connection and possible friendship begins to develop. Until then, aren't they just a voice on the screen?

There is nothing like putting down roots in a place and extending your reach outward to welcome others into your life. The joy comes in sharing a meal, working together toward a common end, or just simply enjoying each other's company in the space of Nature around you.

It is vitally important in creating community that people begin to share physical time and space and form real bonds around doing things together. It is these bonds that are the glue that hold people together in what can come to be known as community. It is through actual interaction that a community grows and expands, becoming stronger as the members allow themselves to know one another on more personal levels. We are each more than our job or the label placed upon us by the things we do. Underneath skin and bones, we are all the same -- humans, sharing energy and reflecting the Universe back at one another.

So, get out there! Join a new group, garden with your neighbors, meet the local people that share your town and neighborhood. Meet some of those internet friends in person. Get involved in something meaningful in your area. Your participation insures your own membership in the local scene of the place you have chosen to call home. Your involvement insures meaningful time spent in life and practice in relating to others on the physical plane rather than through an internet connection.

Through community, the American culture has a chance to redeem itself as we strive to help one another in these increasingly difficult times. As we get to know one another in meaningful ways, it becomes second nature to share our resources, which allows us to interact in the local economy and bypass the impersonal quagmire of the corporatocracy more often than not.

It all comes back around. Time is circular and the effort you put in today will be rewarded tomorrow. A community is like that circle -- a living, spinning, changing thing -- a web of give and take, pull and release, back and forth action -- reciprocity-- dependent on the whole, shared organism. We get what we put in.

Love to all.

Separation is an illusion (9.14.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday.

I have felt alone. I have cried for the past. I have missed old friends and longed to see those who have gone away. Sometimes people move and others die.  And in my sadness, I have realized they are still with me, where they have always been.

Separation is but an illusion. There is no distance in self. We are All One.

The illusion is born of the ego, who tells us we are important, separate beings.

Our uniqueness plays itself out as Spirit calls into our lives new experiences. As we experience, our thoughts become one with the Unified Consciousness and every experience is shared. But the personal twist is ours, held in the hands of ego and in the heart of unique Spirit that travels with us through time.

But time is also an illusion. There is no time. Only now. We believe we have a past, but can we be certain? Who was that person, for it is not us now. "No man ever steps into the same river twice." ~Heraclitus

The truth is that our Spirit is the only real part of us. Our Spirit is but a piece of the Whole, one cell in the organism that is All That Is.

It is a remarkable thing.

There is no separation. I am here. I am as you are. I am we.

Time and distance does not contain the massiveness of our shared energy. Nor does it keep us apart, for we are One, and nothing separates us but ego.

All One.

When we awaken to ourselves we will stop hating and hurting ourselves. We will dance the dance of joy filled with the energy of love as we circle back around to All That Is.

No, there is no separation. Not space. Not time. Not even death can separate us. For in death we are reunited with ourselves and the illusion is finally over as we shed ego once and for all and embrace ourselves as the Wholeness we always were.

As we live this time and space, let us enjoy our diversity and know it is an expression of Spirit as we try to remember ourselves. Embrace adventure and open the heart to everything. Do not fear emotion for it is the road that leads to self and introspection leads to Spirit and a bigger world than could ever be imagined.

When we walk the inner road, we find ourselves on the path to All That Is, and on that journey, we are joined as we recognize ourselves in everyone around us. We can never really be alone. It is not possible. The ego would tell us otherwise, but remember the ego is not real. The Spirit we see in the eyes of another---that is real. And that is our mirror, for they are us and we are them.

All One.

There is no separation. I am him. She is me.

Love to all.

Love (9.7.14)

Good morning. Happy Sunday.

Love to all.

The energy of the Universe is love. Love is the currency that binds All together.

Love should be expressed. When real, unconditional, spiritual love finds expression, joy is born and the heart and soul sing.

There is nothing wrong with the natural, physical expression of love between consenting people of legal age. It is not our business to judge what lovers do behind closed doors, for it is their personal and private expression of love for one another.

The mental and spiritual expression of love lends itself to prayer, to healing and to a divine relationship with self, with Nature and with Source.

Love flows through the Universe and into the human body through channels which lead to the energy center, the heart. Love also flows outward from an individual through the same channels. The heart is the epicenter of this energy, not the brain, as was once thought. If love is blocked and not allowed to flow through the energy channels of the body and out into expression, illnesses within the body and mind may occur.

If love is allowed to flow freely between beings as well as into the world, a harmonious energy is achieved. Equilibrium results.

The plant thrives under the devoted loving attendance of its caregiver, be that human or Nature.

The human also thrives when love is directed toward them through acts of compassion and kindness.

As we express love, love returns to us threefold. Our lives gain meaning and joy through the giving and receiving of love.

Acts of love must be appropriate for both the giver and receiver, otherwise the love may prove to be misguided or misdirected and result in discomfort and emotional pain for all involved.

We must learn what real spiritual love is and not be taken in by false acts of love which are really expressions of ego. The lustful person is caught up in pure ego and has mistaken acts of desire for real love. The controlling person who acts to protect themselves and/or others has lost sight of real, unconditional and spiritual love. There are endless examples, to be sure, of individuals, or even groups of people, who are mistaken in their interpretation and expression of love.

Love does not control or contain. It guides and nurtures, allowing exponential growth as the energy is replicated and returned.

Love heals. Let us all create more love in our lives. Give and receive.

Love to all.
